Ivana Dirlic

Counsellor and Psychotherapist

Ivana Dirlic is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist.

Ivana began her healing study 24 years ago in Croatia. Life circumstances brought Ivana to Australia in 2003, where she continued to develop a career as an energetic bodyworker and holistic counsellor. After giving birth to her daughter in 2010, Ivana suffered from severe post-natal depression. Ivana looks back on those years as her dark night of the soul, that gifted her with the blessings of deep insight and compassion. From that point Ivana focused on mental health.

Ivana’s therapeutic flavour is existentialist. She believes that we are born as independent individuals with the developmental task of individuating and moving beyond the labels or stereotypes that society and culture put upon us (Jungian framework). To help individuals to claim their psychological sovereignty, is the main focus of Ivana’s work. Ivana is particularly passionate about supporting young adults.

Ivana holds a Masters degree in Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy, a Masters degree in Literature from The University of Philosophical Studies, Zadar, Croatia, and a Diploma in Energetic Healing.

Ivana is an avid researcher and writer, soon to complete her first book.

“Awareness Work connects ancient, traditional and emerging therapeutic paradigms, bridging the past and present towards a preferred future.”
